Professional Experience: Mr. Kendall joined Holmes Weddle & Barcott in 2007, and practices in the firm’s Anchorage office. In addition to substantial work before Alaska’s Superior and Supreme Courts, Mr. Kendall’s practice includes providing guidance and litigation counsel in matters related to campaign and election law, and representing organizations and individuals in proceedings before the Alaska Public Offices Commission and the Federal Election Commission.

Mr. Kendall’s clients have included candidates for statewide and national office as well as non-profits, ballot measure groups, and independent campaign expenditure organizations (known as “superPACs”). In 2010, Mr. Kendall represented the first successeful write-in campaign for United States Senate in over 50 years.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Kendall worked for two years in the litigation department of another Anchorage law firm where his practice focused on commercial litigation and business torts.

From 2003 to 2005, Mr. Kendall served as law clerk to the Hon. Chief Judge of the Alaska Court of Appeals, Robert G. Coats.

Professional Associations: Mr. Kendall is a member of the Anchorage Bar Association and the Alaska Bar Association. He also volunteers for the Alaska High School Mock Trial Competition and serves as an attorney observer for the Anchorage Youth Court. The Chief Justice of the Alaska Supreme Court recently appointed Mr. Kendall to a four-year term on the State Attorney Discipline Hearing Committee.
