Ms. Mitchell graduated from Seattle University School of Law in 1997 with honors
Magna Cum Laude. She worked for the Honorable William L. Dwyer through his externship
program in 1997. She joined Holmes Weddle & Barcott in 1998.
Professional Experience:
United States Longshore and Harbor Workers, Represents employers and
insurers at the administrative level, and upon referral to Administrative Law Judges.
Alaska Workers’ Compensation,
Represents employers and insurers before Alaska Workers’ Compensation Board administrative
panels, and before the Alaska Workers’ Compensation Appeals Commission.
Jones Act and General
Maritime Law, Represents and advises employers in Alaska and Washington.
Medicare Secondary Payer
Act, Advises insurers on the impact of Medicare’s right of recovery against
workers’ compensation and liability settlements. Speaks to professional groups.
