Practice Emphasis: Mr. Holmes is now the Firm Administrator, having formerly practiced in diverse areas of the law, such as Real Property, Products Liability, Professional Liability, Banking and Timber Litigation, Business Law, Eminent Domain and Alaska Native Law.

Education: Bachelor of Arts: University of Washington, 1956; Bachelor of Laws: University of Washington School of Law, 1959.

Professional Experience: From 1963-1966, Mr. Holmes was the Deputy Attorney General for the State of Alaska. Since joining the firm in 1966, Mr. Holmes has represented a broad cross-section of clients in matters relating to insurance law, products liability, legal malpractice, complex business and banking litigation, professional liability defense, real estate law, utilities, eminent domain, forest products and the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act.

Professional Associations: Mr. Holmes is a member of the American Arbitration Association, the American Bar Association, the Alaska Bar Association and the Washington Bar Association.

In addition, Mr. Holmes was a member of the Alaska Judicial Council and Chairman of the Alaska Commission on Judicial Conduct. He is a member of the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys and the American Judicature Society.

Admitted to Practice: Alaska State Courts; United States District Court, District of Washington; Washington State Courts; United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit.
