Professional
Experience: Ms. Baxter joined Holmes
Weddle & Barcott in 2005. She works in the
firm’s Seattle office, where her practice
focuses on maritime and admiralty law, and general
civil litigation.
Prior
to practicing law, Ms. Baxter served in the
United States Coast Guard. Ms. Baxter was a
deck watch officer on a Coast Guard cutter homeported
in San Francisco. She then transferred to Seattle
where she served as a Marine Vessel Inspector,
inspecting a variety of vessel classes, including
passenger vessels, Washington State Ferries,
and large cargo and tank ships.
While
stationed in Seattle she also worked as a Marine
Casualty Investigator, investigating vessel
alisions, collisions, near misses and personal
injuries.

of the Washington State Bar Association.
